11 Killed and 118 Trapped in Shanxi China Coal Mine

BEIJING, TimeIsNews.com - A gas explosion in China coal mine northeast has left at least 11 miners were killed and 118 others trapped in the basement.
Xinhua news agency and local television reported, when the explosion occurred on Saturday morning, there were 528 workers in the mine. However, 399 workers managed to escape and be saved, but the rest are trapped.
The mine is located in Hegang city, Heilongjiang Province, which borders Russia. Xinhua reported quoting a description of a security monitoring agency mining province. However, the news agency gave no further explanation.
Meanwhile, the website that monitors institutions (www.hljmkaj.gov.cn) does not contain information about the accident.
The low safety standards and the amount of need for natural resources have made China’s mining being the most deadly in the world.
