Gilad Shalit Video Aired in Israel Television

JERUSALEM, TimeIsNews.com - Video soldiers Gilad Shalit, who has been detained in the Gaza Strip for more than three years, aired on Israeli television on last Friday, in a recording that makes Israel freed 19 Palestinian women prisoners.

Soldiers are now 23-year-old, who looked gaunt and smooth shaven beard, reading a piece of newspaper, sometimes smiling and grinning, as he sat on a chair facing the white wall.

“I want to send my greetings to my family and told them that I loved them and missed them and longed for the day I will see them again.”, said Shalit, whose hair was cut short and holding a copy of a Gaza Strip newspaper dated 14 September 2009.

“I expect that the government led by Benjamin Netanyahu will not waste the opportunity now to reach an agreement.”, he quoted the AFP. He referred to the prime minister of Israel.

“I feel good and Mujahideen Brigades Ezzedine al-Qassam treated me very well.”, he said. He was referring to the armed wing of Palestinian Islamic movement, Hamas - which ruled Gaza Strip. “I’ve waited a long time will be the day I was released.”

At the end of the recording of two minutes 40 seconds, Shalit up and walked toward the camera to describe that he is in good health. He also tells the story of when his family visited him at a military base in the Golan Heights.

Shalit arrested in June 2006, after three guerrilla groups Gaza Strip, including Hamas, through a tunnel out of the bag area and attacked an Israeli military post and killed two other soldiers.
