JAKARTA, TimeIsNews.com - Presidential spokesman Dino Patti Djalal said that the delay President Barack Obama’s visit to Indonesia was not related to security reasons.

This was stated by Dino at his office, Wednesday (7/10), when he was delivering the relevant confirmation of President Obama’s visit to Indonesia next year.

In the earlier, there was no official statement, though. It has spread the news that President Obama will be to Indonesia in November 2009, after attending the APEC meeting in Singapore. “No … not because of security problem,” Dino said when asked whether the delays associated with the bombings of two 5 stars hotel in Jakarta a few months ago or the threat of terrorism.

He explained that the two sides have been discussing various options related to the time President Obama’s visit to Indonesia.

According to Dino, the two sides do not want a visit in a hurry, ever since President Obama spent his childhood in Indonesia that was agreed him when the visit next year on dates to be determined later. “It is true to the time for this visit should be special and productive since President Obama had spent his childhood here,” he said.

Barack Obama who won the U.S. general election last year and is the president of the descendants of the first black people, ever spent his childhood in Indonesia because he has a stepfather that is an Indonesia citezenship.

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Obama has made several meetings on the sidelines of international meetings involving the two countries.
